"Over the past 40 years in EMS, I have seen the products of the drug and alcohol abuse first hand and more often in an emergency situation. Prevention begins early in a child's life and education with Family and friends is very important."

Kevin Hack
Director of Ambulance/EMT System

PRofessional Development

By partnering with schools, we train and support teachers and educators to recognize at-risk youth, prevent both bullying, and alcohol, drug, and controlled substance abuse. Our program includes suicide prevention approaches, and our mission is to transform and expand the potential of your students.

Financial literacy

We have partnered with educators to offer a financial education platform that allows them to teach real-world finance and practical life skills in the classroom. Students learn best by doing. Through this interactive platform, students are able to make mistakes, learn, and succeed from the safety of their classroom. Some of the life literacy skills they develop include:

  • Budgeting

  • Saving

  • Managing Debt

  • Internet Safety

  • Career Planning

Drug and alcohol Abuse Awareness

Addiction is not a private problem. It is an issue that affects families and communities throughout Illinois. Through a partnership aimed at stopping addiction at its source, we offer different programs available to schools and communities that will give those in attendance the tools to identify and help those in need.

Academic Bowl

This annual scholastic tournament, sponsored by the Freemasons of Illinois, aims to provide positive recognition for academic excellence. The tournament is a quiz-based competition between Illinois High School scholastic bowl teams testing a wide variety of academic subjects.

Illinois Masonic Family Identification program

Every year in the U.S., thousands of children become lost. A few are victims of abduction. Through the Illinois Masonic Family Identification Program, the Freemasons of Illinois hold and fund identification workshops for families all around the state to help them find and prevent victims of abduction.
